Recruitment training for international volunteer sending agencies

This training is aimed at strengthening sending agencies’ capacity to develop and implement volunteer recruitment procedures that are equitable, consistent and transparent. It will help you to develop volunteer recruitment guidelines for your organisation, develop volunteer role descriptions and successful recruitment advertisements, do successful interviewing and to develop consistent screening and selection processes. We are doing a needs assessment with all registered before the training day to make sure that the training addresses all your questions around recruitment.
The trainer, Stuart Garland, is Training and Programmes Manager with Volunteer Ireland and brings a wealth of experience from his extensive experience working in the voluntary and community sector. As well as leading the National Volunteer Development Agency for a number of years he has direct extensive Volunteer Management experience with managing volunteer teams from 3 to over 1,000 volunteers. Stuart was a National Accreditor for European Voluntary Service (EVS) for seven years and has played a key role in development of volunteer management standards in EVS. He holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management, a Diploma in Event Management, a Diploma in First Line Management, and a certificate in Training & Learning.
